SCOTTISH actor Ewan McGregor has said he is “fine” after having a cancerous mole removed from below his right eye.
The star best known for his leading roles in Trainspotting, Shallow Grave and the Star Wars prequels, has said doctors removed several moles after going for a check up.
“I went to see a specialist who thought they were better to be removed, and indeed he was correct,” he said.
The star admitted he was aware that having pale skin and spending time in the sun meant he was more at risk, and it “was best to be looked at” by doctors.
McGregor has recently reprised his stage career in Othello and stars in new movie, the erotic thriller – Deception out in the UK this Friday.
