THE widow of murdered Garry Newlove has called on MPs to name and shame yobs who terrorise towns and cities across the UK
Helen Newlove also wants the parents of tear-away families to be publicly named.
Gary Newlove was beaten to death by thugs outside his Warrington home last year.
His brave widow, addressing a Home Office select committee, today, said: ”If my children were in trouble, I would want the police to tell me and I would deal with it.”
“Why do we not name and shame people who are causing criminal damage and causing violence on the street, or name the parents?”
Mrs Newlove called on the police to do their part, by attending to all call outs, regardless of the nature of the criminality.
“I believe the children of today know police do not attend for minor crimes,” she said.
Earlier this month Mrs Newlover, while sharing the stage with David Cameron at a families summit, attacked yob culture, the glamorisation of violence on TV and described her experience of the courts as a “circus”.
