IRISH born singer songwriter Gemma Hayes has a voice angels would cry for.
She is now fittingly at home in Los Angeles but has returned to her roots to tour new album The Hollow of Morning.
We got in touch with Gemma after her first gig at Cork’s Cyprus Avenue, to see how she felt being back on the road and what Belfast could expect on her welcome return.

NORTHERN Ireland consumers face a rise of almost 30% in gas prices over the coming day
Exact figures are to be substantiated, but the average Phoenix Gas bill is expected to rise to about £580 per annum – an increase of £130.

PREGNANT women who consume more calories and eat breakfast during pregnancy are more likely to give birth to sons, new research suggests.
The study, the first of it’s kind to claim an expecting mother’s diet is linked to a baby’s gender found women who ate around 2,200 calories a day were 1.5 times more likely to have a boy than those who ate less than 1,850 calories a day.

PRINCE William will be invested as the Knight of the Garter by his Grandmother The Queen.
The Knighthood, the 1000th of it’s kind, has been awarded to the Prince to mark Saint George’s Day in England.
The Order of the Garter celebrates its 660th anniversary this year, making it Britain’s oldest honour.
The Prince, who will be entitled to wear the blue Garter sash, will be invested at a private cermony at Windsor Castle on 16 June.

PRIME Minister Gordon Brown has said he was not “pushed about” by Labour MPs, after deciding to make concession to lower income households in the UK.
The government will now abolish the unpopular 10p tax rate, and has pledged to further support lower income homes.

A LORRY containing 6.5 million smuggled cigarettes was dicovered at Belfast Docks on Tuesday night.
The operation by Custom officials found four different brands of cigarettes in a container on the back of a lorry as it arrived at the docks.

POLICE have arrested two men on suspicion of murder, after a body was found in Redditch.
It is understood the arrests are related to the disappearece of disabled 22-year-old James Hughes, who went missing with his mother on Friday.
Heather Wardle’s body was found on Monday, and a post mortem confirmed Ms Wardle had ligature tied to her remains.
It is understood the two men are not being questioned about Ms Wardle’s death.

HILLARY Clinton is celebrating after winning a key victory in the race to become the Democrat’s presidential candidate.
The former first lady decisively captured yesterday’s Pennsylvania primary, beating rival Barack Obama by almost 10 points.
As a result she has gained the support of the majority of the state’s delegates, who will now back her nomination at the Democrat’s national convention this summer.

A REDDITCH mother, who went missing, along with her severely disabled son, was found dead in undergrowth with ligature around her neck.
39-year-old Heather Wardle and her son, James Hughes, both went missing on Friday.
Searches are still taking place for 22-year-old James, who police have described as “extremely vulnerable”.
James has the mental capabilities of an 18 month old child.

A DARTH Vader wannabe attacked a Star Wars fan who set up a Jedi Church, a court has heard.
Arwel Wynne Hughes, 27 from Holyhead admitted to attacking his cousins Michael and Barney Jones with a metal crutch dressed in a black bin liner shouting “Darth Vader”.
The men were filming themselves playing with light sabres in the back garden before the attack broke out. Hughes was angered by his cousin who recently set up a Jedi Church in Holyhead- in honour of the film’s Good Knights.
